Is it weird to say that my biggest pet peeve is when a Hanson is a Mary Sue? Ugh, I cannot stand it when a Hanson member (especially Taylor) is always the strong one, the infallible one, the one who always knows what to say. He is the knight in shining armor, usually being sort of a jerk in the beginning but then seeing beyond outer beauty in a very bland, predictable way. He never makes horrible mistakes or says nasty things (unless, of course, he's a jerk who will fall in love with the awkward-yet-undeniably-loveable heroine, where then they will get married and live together happily ever after) either. Haha, I think I'll call them "Taylor Sue's"...... lol diosa...those are the ones i LOVE.

Eve: I love Taylor Sue's when they are done well. But when there is a crappy-ass Taylor Sue plot line it's enough to drive me up a wall! It pains me...physically.
Ella: How could your Taylor possibly be a Taylor Sue? Sure there is a touch of Taylor Sue in every Taylor character (mine as well), but i would hardly consider your Taylor even remotely close to the horror that I've described. Besides, how often did your Taylor really not say the right thing? He was never really a terrible jerk in the beginning....at least not that i remember. And, oh my God, the way you put Alley and Taylor together was so original! NOT BLAND. I totally heart your Taylor!!!

Taylor is generally either a Taylor-Sue, as you put it, or some horrific villain. Those are the ones that make me roll my eyes. He's after one of his brother's girlfriend and when she won't fall for him, he becomes a bitch. I've read too many of those, I must admit. Now, I pass as soon as he eyes Isaac's sweet girlfriend.

lol hmm, well there's really only so many 'plots' out there where sooner or later you'll have read them all or can identify same aspects of them in all stories. But point is if a story can pull you in so well that you don't even think about those things, only on the story then who cares if it's cliche or not.
However, I've read many that makes me roll my eyes, mainly ones where characters are so wooden and 2 dimensional. Characters are so important, if they don't seem real, then what's the point in reading.
BTW I hate stories where Taylor is made out to be this big bad guy that does drugs, has sex with a million women and swears every 2 words. Not believable at all. Also hate when I start reading a supposive hanfic and hanson is not mentioned at all as you read, that puts me off cos I don't wanna read about some girl's problems at school and how her best friend is a bitch, I want to know where hanson fits at least in first 2-3 chapters but that's just me tho.
