Just wondering, have any of you guys participated in NaNoWriMo? Ever tried to write a 50,000 word hanfic in a month? www.nanowrimo.orgIt is of course, over for this year, but just was curious if any of you have heard of done it. I did nano last year, and it was pretty fun (and stressful), my hanfic, which I'll never show anyone, ever, was the result of that. I actually wrote up to 60k words before quitting. Imagine that, 60k of unprintable, unpublishable crap. lol Great stuff.

I did! Last year and this year. I wrote a hanfic both years - it was surprisingly easy last year (padding out with song lyrics does wonders I've found), but this year was a little more difficult. I'm not willing to show off this year's endeavour, however, until I've put it back together and then finished. I did have it up at my site for a couple of weeks, but I ended up taking it down.

i'm actually doing mine late this year, i started at 26th of november, but I'm just going to do a month myself, trying to average about 2000 words a day. So far it's going pretty good. Have 14,000 words written so far. It's a hanfic as well, hopefully better than last year.
I'm actually looking over last yr's attempt, and I'm going to put some up on my website. It's not anything I'm proud of, but there are some parts I definitely like so that will do.
We should try maybe a version of nano ourselves. Maybe like a 2 day challenge. See who can write the most in 2 days.

I'm doing one for myself in January -- I think November's a bad time -- finals are coming up, the end of the semester is winding down and that's when it's crunch time, and you have to get ready for the holidays. January is the beginning of everything. You all are welcome to join me.
