Unfortunately, Downtown Louisville is full of wig shops and oriental gifts. I think the Bardstown Road area is VERY Taylor/Ally. Ear-X-Tacy is there, a world famous record shop. There are skateboarders going up and down the street at all times. It's a very cool place. They could eat at The Bristol, which has a patio on the side, and shop at all the funky consignment shops and galleries. The Seelbach Hotel is downtown and it is absolutely beautiful. When Hanson played at the Palace, they stayed at the Hyatt, so he'd know that, if you wanted to go there. Also downtown is waterfront park, which is gorgeous, right on the river. The Louisville Extreme Park is next to it, which is amazing. A huge place for bikers and skateboarders--the X Games have been held there a few times. Also, if you want them to eat downtown, Joe's Crabshack is right there at Waterfront Park. Broadway in downtown Louisville runs straight into the Highlands which is where Bardstown Road is. So, you could use either, or both! Hope that helps! krystalThanks -- I've been to the Seelbach and Joe's Crabshack, so I vaguely know where those are. I just need to go up there and drive around, or something. hehe. This is why my story takes place in Lexington.... research is just too much work! LOL

I understand completely! But, I jumped for joy when I read your latest chapter. I was like, "I've been to High on Rose!"
Yes, you should come up here and hang out!

research is just too much work! LOL Funny story about research for fanfic. When Krystal and I were in Tulsa, because of the amount of research I did for Boy, I was able to drive us around... Find the places we wanted to be, even found the MOE house without a map. I literally KNEW Tulsa. And when I was back for the concerts in August, I found everything really easily again. Including some places I probably shouldn't have gone too...

LOL! Stephanie -- For the chapters of my story where they were in Tulsa, I had a girl from there describe some places and give me a little information on it... but it still wasn't quite enough. I made do, but I'd much rather have been there to see them for myself. I'm sure any Tulsa native was disgusted by my ignorance.

Of course I'd drive you around! Sort of like a hometown road trip!
I'm sure your Tulsa was perfectly believable!

I'm sure your Tulsa was perfectly believable!Well, I avoided mentioning details about it as much as I could get away with.... haha! I *have* been to Tulsa, once, when I was in high school. We were on a convention. So, of course, we saw nothing of the city -- only of the inside of our hotel and the convention center. *sigh* When would you be willing to do that, krystal?

Well, would it need to be a weekend? Or could you do it during the week?

Probably weekend. I don't get off work until 5, and then it would take me an hour and a half to get there with traffic... and by then it would be dark. LOL.
I would say a Saturday is probably best for me.

As far as I know right now, I think that will work. My friend Heather's birthday is the 12th, and I know she wants to go out that weekend, but I'm pretty sure she's planning on Friday. So I will give you a tentative yes. I'll email you my cell phone number sometime between now and then so we can work out the details.

Hey. Quick question. Now, Joe's Crab Shack is basically just down the road from Waterfront Park, correct? (the one with the fish-fountains and the giant xylophones) And you said there was like a sidewalk that went down the side of the river, kind of like a boardwalk. Does that sidewalk extend down to the park? Would it be feasible to walk from Joe's down to the park? Do you know? Thanks.

"Definitely" as in, the sidewalk DOES extend to the park and you can walk there? LOL Reading about the Seelbach makes me want to stay there. Damn, that place is nice.
